2026 Rec Season registration is now open

The Fond du Lac Soccer Association Recreational League provides a fun, inclusive soccer experience for youth across Fond du Lac. Annually, more than 1,400 players ages 3–18 compete on 150+ teams with the support of 150+ dedicated volunteer coaches. The season runs from May through July and welcomes players of all skill levels with no tryouts required. Beyond the nine-week season, the league also features two exciting weekend events: the Kick-Off to Summer Games and the highly anticipated End-of-the-Year Tournament

2026 Youth Rec League Season: May - July

The 2026 Recreational Spring/Summer Season will begin with organized training the week of May 11th and the regular season kicking off May 18th and concluding July 11th and 12th with our end of the year tournament. 

Similar to last year, games will be held on Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday each week with Thursday as a designated make-up date for weather cancellations and Memorial Day games.

  • April 5th: # of teams finalized, final sponsor placement, & jersey order submitted
  • Week of April 12th: Rec League Schedule Released & Teams Announced
  • Week of May 11th: Jersey Distribution & Scheduled Team Training
  • Week of May 18th: Rec League Season Begins
  • June 11th: High School Rec League Teams Begin
  • June 6th Kick-off to Summer Games (U4-U14 Girls Teams)
  • June 7th: Kick-off to Summer Games (U4-U14 Boys Teams
  • July 11th-12th: End of Year Rec Tournament (U4-U14)

Early-Bird Pricing:

  • U4-U8: $75
  • U9-U14: $80 
  • High School: $75

Registration Pricing
Registration fees will increase by $10 on February 15 and an additional $10 on April 1. Families are encouraged to register early to secure the lowest rate and help with seasonal planning.

Additional Fees
Participation in the FDLSA Recreational League includes the following additional costs:

  • $10 Keeper Card Fundraising Fee
    Each participant will receive two (2) Keeper Cards featuring discounts to local businesses. Cards may be kept for personal use or sold, with a total value of $10 per card.

  • $30 Volunteer Buyout Deposit (applies to all participants except high school players)
    A $30 volunteer deposit is required at registration. Once volunteer hours are completed, families are eligible to receive the full deposit back at the end of the season. FDLSA will process volunteer deposit payouts in person at the soccer complex and provide 4-5 dates after the season.

All Games are at the Fond du Lac Soccer Complex and start at either 5:30pm or 6:45pm (random generated scheduling). Below is a listing of which age group plays on which nights. These scheduled nights of play remain consistent throughout the season. Thursday night is reserved for make-up games that may have been canceled earlier in the week. 

Practice nights are not scheduled by the club, allowing each team to select a night that works best for the coach and the team.

Recreational Soccer Age Groups

All leagues are separated by boys and girls except High School which is Coed. 

U4–U6 (Typically 3K–Kindergarten)

An introductory program focused on fun, movement, and basic soccer skills through games and activities. Designed to build confidence and a love for the game.

  • Format: 4v4, no goalkeepers

  • Games: 4 quarters × 10 minutes

  • Practice: 1 per week

  • Team Size: Max 8 players

  • Special Rule: Scoring player wears a pinnie and must wait for another teammate to score before scoring again

  • Ball Size: 3


U7 (Typically 1st Grade)

Players continue learning through small-sided games that increase touches and involvement while reinforcing fundamentals.

  • Format: 4v4, no goalkeepers

  • Games: 4 quarters × 12 minutes

  • Practice: At least 1 per week

  • Team Size: Max 8 players

  • Ball Size: 3


U8 (Typically 2nd Grade)

Builds on U7 development with continued emphasis on ball control, teamwork, and decision-making.

  • Format: 4v4, no goalkeepers

  • Games: 4 quarters × 12 minutes

  • Practice: At least 1 per week

  • Team Size: Max 8 players

  • Ball Size: 3


U9–U10 (Typically 3rd–4th Grade)

Players transition to a larger field and goalkeepers while continuing skill development and game understanding.

  • Format: 7v7 (with goalkeepers)

  • Games: 2 halves × 25 minutes

  • Practice: 1 per week

  • Team Size: 12–14 players

  • Ball Size: 4


U12 (Typically 5th–6th Grade)

A further step in development with increased field size and introduction of the offside rule.

  • Format: 9v9 (with goalkeepers)

  • Games: 2 halves × 30 minutes

  • Practice: 1 per week

  • Team Size: 14–16 players

  • Rules: Offside enforced

  • Ball Size: 4


U14 (Typically 7th–8th Grade)

Players experience full-sided soccer in a structured recreational environment.

  • Format: 11v11

  • Games: 2 halves × 30 minutes

  • Practice: At least 1 per week

  • Ball Size: 5


High School (Typically 9th–12th Grade)

Recreational coed league for high school-aged players focusing on fun, fitness, and competition.

  • Format: 11v11 (U15–U19 Coed)

  • Games: 2 halves × 30 minutes

  • Practice: Optional, determined by team/coach

  • Ball Size: 5


All players should bring:
Black shorts, shin guards, soccer socks, soccer cleats, appropriate ball size, and a water bottle. A jersey will be provided to every player the first week of play.
